Pulse Social Media Content

During my time working as the Audio Visual Manager at the Pulse, I had the opportunity to work alongside the social media team to create videos to promote the Pulse and events happening around campus.

Nest of Lies Trailer

During the Fall 2024 semester, I attempted to make Pulse content to help grow the Pulse’s social media accounts.

One video I made, was NEST OF LIES | OFFICAL TRAILER. It is a trailer for a film that will never come out. I was able to not only write, direct and edit, but also schedule and arrange people according to available time slots and deadlines. Click on the thumbnail to the left to see the trailer!

Vote for Homecoming Ad

During the 2024 Fall semester, the Pulse was able to create an ad, encouraging people to vote for the homecoming court. Something we’ve gathered from our monthly magazine is that our campus enjoys satire. Therefore we went with a satirical approach to the video.

We also wanted to tailor the video toward our biggest platform: Instagram. Therefore, we made the video vertical, to seamlessly integrate into the social media platform. Click the thumbnail to the right to view the video.

Bob Ross Challenge

During my attempt to make Pulse content for the Fall 2024 semester, we made a Bob Ross Challenge. In this video, our design team competed in making the best Bob Ross painting.

During the making of this, I learned the process of making content specifically for promotion. This includes self-promoting in the video and specifically trying to make content to promote following our accounts. I also directed and edited this video. Employment Ad

At the end of every semester, people leave the Pulse and we are left needing to fill their positions. I was tasked with making videos to promote open positions and encourage people to apply.

Once again, we took a satirical approach to this video, as that is what works best with our audience. We tailored this video to Instagram as well. Click the thumbnail on the right to view the video.

Messiah University Move In

As Audio/Video manager at the Pulse, I was approached by Messiah University and asked to make a promotional move-in video. Over one day, we filmed a variety of event taking place. We then edited the video and returned it two days.

Photo Challenge

For my Multimedia Storytelling class, we were responsible for making a video inspired by other forms of media. I researched competition shows and proposed this video to a photographer friend who accepted the challenge.

For this project, I learned how to tailor content for different social media platforms. I was responsible for the concept, creation and editing of the video.
